Community Living, a non-profit agency, has been supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 50 years across Washington State. We promote people to have independent lives, engage in their vibrant communities and foster positive experiences so that they are able to fulfill their life dreams and daily goals. All of our employees work tirelessly to ensure professional and encouraging supports are in place each and every day. Community Living’s employees are considered essential workers and although they are not considered healthcare workers, they are still filling the important role of 24/7/365 support for our state’s most vulnerable adults.
At this time, during the unprecedented pandemic we all find ourselves in, we are asking for your help. We want to ensure that we are able to provide adequate personal care support for all of the clients statewide and to ensure our dedicated employees are able to do so safely. We understand that the system is overwhelmed and this in part is why we are reaching out for assistance so as not to take away from the first responders. The support and the health and safety of all of our clients and employees is incredibly important.
