Community Living routinely seeks Full Time, Part Time and Substitute Employees to fill openings as Direct Support Professionals in the four branch locations.
Community Living prides itself on individualized teaching and training in all aspects of daily living, while supporting individuals with a wide range of support needs. Individualized teaching and training may include; personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and menu planning, paying bills, budgeting, assistance with medications, doctor appointments, following doctor orders, support with complex medical issues and complex diets, support with mobility issues, including the use of walkers, gait belts and wheelchairs, support with communication devices, transportation, and support with activities.
Community Living supports individuals to live in their own homes within their own communities, with support that ranges from just a few hours per week to twenty-four hours per day by dedicated and qualified staff.
Community Living provides support to clients twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week, therefore, employees may be required to work shifts which can vary 4 hours to 13 hours per shift, depending upon the shift available. Substitute employees are asked to cover any open Full time or Part time shift openings, however, substitutes are not guaranteed any minimum number of hours per work week.
To be eligible to work each employee must:
- Be at least eighteen years of age
- Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Pass a State DSHS background clearance
- Provide proof of High School Diploma or GED
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Possess automobile insurance coverage
- Pass a motor vehicle report check
- Have access to a reliable home phone or cellular phone
